In Bay area on the West coast, ACME BREAD is one of my favorite.
Unlike Fire Bread, Acme has their store in Ferry Building, SF, and comes to the farmers' market on Sat.
My favorite is walnuts and bugette.
Campanue is good for sandwichs, too.
