Name: Dark Mild
Blend of Mocha, Brazil, Columbia, Mandheling

Roasting Grade: City Roast/Medium Roast
 Mocha/Medium dark, Brazil/Medium,
 Columbia/Medium, Mandheling/Dark

Roaster: Taruko-ya Coffee

【Roaster's Comment】
Mild bitterness with soft texture suitable for a morning cup, wake-up coffee, or a breakfast cup with a piece of toast.

【Impression】
Dark, full body, strong taste.  Round, moderate bitterness, sweetness of bitter chocolate, a touch of s oothing, lemon like sourness.  Bitterness remains as aftertaste, but light and cool impression.  Mainly, bitterness with sweetness.

If you are a fun of Indnesian coffee, this coffee is the one to pick.  Strong impression of Mandheling harmonize the taste of this blend coffee,

Sweet Basil

Since we do not have a  usual weather pattern, we thought it is time to have a small "KICK off" party to welcome summer of 2011.
So, here is the one very good choice to start with: Thai Restaurant, SWEET BASIL, in OSAKA.

It was the pre-fix style, so there was not chance to examine the menu this time, unfortunately.
But, they were good enough to enjoy how Sweet Basil is...
Here were dishes in our set menu:

'fen-tiao'(bean vermicelli) salad

'fen-tiao'(bean vermicelli) salad
Vegetable Spring rolls
Shrimp Spring rolls
Fried Chicken-wings
Tom-Yum soup
Chicken Green Curry
Black pepper Fried Shrimps
Jasmine Rice
Tom-Yum soup

Chicken Green Curry

Black pepper Fried Shrimps

'fen-tiao'(bean vermicelli) salad was nice starter, a lots of vegetables and less spicy taste.
Fried foods, finger items, are also mild and nothing special.

Problem, sorry to say, was Tom-Yum soup...
For the Chef ' s horner , Tom-Yum soup taste wonderful besides the impacts, maybe stimulation or shock, followed every single sip of this soup, which was strong enough to make me cough and cry...  It was chili peppers to burn my mouth and throat.
Taste was wonderfully  harmonized, sourness and sweetness.  It was well understood that Tom-Yum soup was named as the top three soup of the world.  However, chili pepper was killer....   Green curry and Black pepper shrimps were also "Spicy" and "Hot" dishes, there were nothing compared with the soup.

Overall, dishes we had were good enough.  Not knowing REAL THAI FOOD, Sweet Basil may be good enough.  There were lines of people waiting outside when we stepped out, so no wonder Sweet Basil is very popular in that area.
